Staff at The Children's Trust also got stuck in making decorations - which will have a 'Eurovision' theme!

On why The Children’s Trust are taking part in the pageant, Ishbel Harris, health play specialist, said:

It has been wonderful to see how excited the children are about appearing in the pageant. We’ve all come together to help make the decorations and as with all the activities we run at The Children’s Trust this has therapeutic benefits for the children and young people we support. They have been able to practice making choices and enjoy the sensory and tactile experience of feeling the different materials. It's really beneficial for them to be part of a community event like this.

Beverley Worsley, partnerships manager at The Children’s Trust, said:

It has been a wonderful local event to be involved in and we were delighted to be invited to take part. What a treat to get out in the spring air and show off the amazing decorations the children and young people have produced.

Cheers along the route will be gratefully received!
