All around the UK charities and organisations run family friendly events and workshops. These are opportunities to meet other families living with brain injury –you can find out the latest information from specialists and/or have a fun day out with the whole family.
Here are some events coming up soon:
Family Fund Information and Support Day, Nottingham
23 January, 10.30am – 2pm
Learn more about support services, grants and information available to you and your disabled child or young person. Meet Family Fund and other organisations and get help with your Family Fund application form.
Young Epilepsy: Parents Event, Bristol
24 January, 10am – 2.30pm
A free event for parents of children with epilepsy to help parents/carers to understand all aspects of epilepsy, from treatments to how to get the most out of appointments with nurses and doctors. This event gives parents the chance to meet and share experiences with other parents of children with epilepsy.
WheelPower Feel Inspired Primary Sports Camp 2020, Stoke Mandeville
5 and 6 February, 10am – 3pm (approx.)
WheelPower's Feel Inspired Primary (5-11 years) and Junior (12-18 years) Sports Camps are a great way for young people with a disability to discover sport in a safe, welcoming and friendly environment and all activity is adapted to suit abilities.
Little Brainstrust: Edinburgh Craft Family Event
26 February, 5.30pm – 7.30pm
This craft event at Doodles Ceramics workshop is for parents, guardians, children, teenagers and siblings and extended family who have all been impacted by a brain tumour diagnosis. It's a free event for the whole family.
