Students in Yellow class took part in the ‘Path to Paris’ challenge as part of the Olympic and Paralympic 2024 games.

The goal was to get active, and clock up the virtual distance from Tadworth to Paris before the Olympic closing ceremony. We are thrilled to announce that after weeks of determination and hard work, Yellow Class smashed this remarkable milestone.

The incredible primary students at The Children's Trust school took on this challenge after being inspired by the impressive Paralympians and Olympians. The young people tirelessly participated in a variety of physical activities, from using the Innowalk, hydrotherapy sessions, taking steps, playing football or dancing in their walkers to using equipment such as standers, bench sitting and free movement.

Each session of activity contributed towards reaching the ambitious goal, and we are ecstatic to share that they not only met but exceeded it, "travelling" around the world before officially reaching Paris!

The afternoon we reached our destination was a celebration to remember. All the children crossed the finish line with enthusiasm before then taking part in a special awards ceremony, conducted in French for an authentic touch. They listened to the French National Anthem as our Head Teacher, Launa Randles, proudly presented well-deserved certificates and a shiny gold medal. The sense of achievement and joy was palpable as Yellow Class celebrated their outstanding accomplishment.

Félicitations to Yellow Class for your incredible perseverance and success. Your journey has been an inspiring example of what can be achieved with dedication and teamwork -  while highlighting the importance and enjoyment of physical activity for everybody!
