Manchester United has shared a video on Twitter where Sir Alex thanks the medical staff at Macclesfield, Salford Royal and Alexandra hospitals for their great care. He said without them he would not be sitting here today.
He also comments he has received messages from all over the world and that the good wishes resonate very strongly.
Sir Alex ends with the comment: “Lastly I’ll be back later in the season to watch the team. In the meantime, all the best to Jose and the players. Thank you very much.”
According to The Guardian, Ferguson 'underwent emergency surgery for a bleed on the brain in May, receiving treatment on an intensive care ward at Salford Royal for three days before continuing his rehabilitation as an inpatient. He was released from hospital four weeks later, in early June'.
We wish Alex Ferguson well and are pleased to see him on his recovery.
