Fulham FC stars bring a little Christmas magic
Stars from Fulham FC’s women’s and men’s first teams visited us at our Tadworth site yesterday.
Anisha Hill, Alex Hayman along with Kenny Tete, Saša Lukić, Adama Traore, Harry Wilson spent time with the families, bringing festive cheer to children with brain injury and neurodisability.
The players and staff from Fulham FC Foundation had a tour of our Tadworth site, including a visit to the state-of-the-art paediatric brain injury rehabilitation centre, the largest service of its kind in the UK.
The group had the opportunity to join in some of our therapy sessions for the children we support. The children were excited to take selfies and receive signed photos.
The players continued with a visit to our school and a residential house for children with complex needs.
Mike McSweeney, Chief Executive Officer at the Fulham FC Foundation, says:
At Fulham FC Foundation we believe it’s important to stop and reflect at this time of year, offering support to those in the community that need it the most. We are visiting The Children’s Trust today to hopefully spread a bit of stardust and Christmas magic in a time that may be difficult for people.
The club also generously donated a voucher which will help the charity purchase new sports equipment to aid children’s physical therapy and rehabilitation.
Mike Thiedke, Chief Executive at The Children’s Trust, says:
We would like to thank the Fulham FC Foundation for their continued support of The Children’s Trust. Their visit brought lots of joy to the children who are here for vital rehabilitation over the festive period. We are grateful to the players and staff for their donation, which will enable us to buy vital sports equipment to support the children’s rehabilitation.
