Themed weeks add a touch of excitement with vibrant installations, captivating performances and diverse visitors bringing culture and diversity into the school. Our onsite Play and Therapy teams and specialist teaching staff take the lead in planning and crafting this unique offer, ensuring it caters to the specific needs and interests of our PMLD young people.
Our enrichment offer provides opportunities for our children to explore new activities, build connections and expand their horizons. Regular features such as the Panathlon Challenge, ZooLab visits and the Summer Festival, enhance the learning experience and promote social engagement.
Throughout the year, our curriculum is enriched through a creative approach to accessible art and music. We believe in the power of cultural capital and have been recognised as an area of excellence by Challenge Partners and awarded Platinum Artsmark status. These accolades highlight our dedication to providing a well-rounded education that nurtures creativity and self-expression.
In addition to the thematic enrichment weeks, we offer a variety of lunchtime and after-school clubs driven by the children's interests. One shining example is our 'Sing and Sign' after-school club, where The Children's Trust staff and children come together to enjoy the magic of singing and signing.
At The Children's Trust, we believe that learning happens everywhere. Our enrichment offer is therefore designed to create a dynamic and inclusive environment where children can thrive, learn and discover their passions.
